Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash in Bibb County, Georgia
BIBB COUNTY, GA. – According to a news report published online at wgxa.tv, a man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Bibb County, Georgia. Authorities are still in the process of completing their investigation into the accident, and they say that charges are pending. Officials have identified the victim and the driver of the other vehicle involved.*
At approximately 9:30 p.m. on April 13, a Kawasaki ZX12R motorcycle was traveling on Eisenhower Parkway in Bibb County. At the intersection with Pine Avenue, a Chevrolet Impala traveled across Eisenhower Parkway toward Laveta Drive. The Chevy crossed into the path of the motorcycle on Eisenhower, and the two vehicles collided.
Emergency crews reportedly took the motorcyclist to the Medical Center, Navicent Health with serious injuries. WGXA reports that he did not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. He was identified as a 54-year-old man.
The report does not say whether the Chevy driver sustained any injuries. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is handling the case investigation, and deputies say that charges against the Chevy driver are pending. He was identified as a 26-year-old man. It does not appear that any passengers were involved.
Deputies did not report any immediate information about the cause of the accident other than to say that the Chevy driver pulled in front of the motorcycle. It is unclear what might have led to the driver’s alleged failure to yield. No additional information about the accident had been released at the time the WGXA report was posted online.
