One Seriously Injured in Vehicle Accident on I-75 in Micanopy, Florida
MICANOPY, FL. – According to an online news report published at gainesville.com, one person was seriously injured in a vehicle accident that occurred on Interstate 75 in Micanopy, Florida. The accident caused half of the interstate to close, which led to traffic backups in the area for several hours.*
The collision occurred on I-75 North near Micanopy. At about 11:45 a.m., Florida Highway Patrol received a call about a collision by mile marker 377 of I-75. Troopers reportedly arrived to find that three vehicles had somehow been involved in a crash.
The makes and models of the vehicles were not included in the report from The Gainesville Sun. The report says that two of the vehicle were extensively damaged, and one of them had turned onto its side after the impact. This information was provided by Alachua Fire Rescue, which responded to the scene.
