Man Faces Criminal Charges Following Fatal South Carolina Drunk Driving Accident
COLLETON COUNTY, SC – According to www.counton2.com, a 42-year-old Ladson man has been charged with multiple drunk driving offenses for causing an accident that resulted in another person’s death.*
The South Carolina Highway Patrol has filed multiple criminal charges, including driving under the influence resulting in great bodily harm and driving under the influence resulting in death. Whether the 42-year-old has a history of drunk driving offenses is unclear, as the accident is still under investigation.
The tragic drunk driving accident happened when the 42-year-old Ladson man slammed into the back of a Toyota while driving on Cottageville Highway in Colleton County, South Carolina. The driver of the Toyota sustained non-life-threatening injuries, but a passenger was not as lucky and died from injuries suffered in the accident after being taken to the Medical University of South Carolina for treatment.
