One Man is Killed and Three Others Injured in Tennessee Single-Vehicle Accident

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN – According to, a Cookeville man was killedand three passengers injured in a late-night single-vehicle accident on Highway 70 East.*

The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports that a 20-year-old man was driving eastbound on Highway 70 around 2:30 A.M. when he lost control of his 2012 Nissan Altima.  The driver had difficulty staying on the highway upon approaching a curve.  The driver died from his injuries while his three passengers, also injured, survived the accident.  

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, all occupants of the vehicle had been drinking.  One female passenger is 21-years old, another female passenger is 18-years old, and one male passenger is 17-years-old.  As such, all occupants were young, andonly one of the passengers was of legal drinking age.
