Alleged Drunk Driver Ran Through an Intersection and Crashed into 8 Cars at a Dealership

KINSTON, N.C. — According to an online news report at, a trooper from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol reports that a man from Kinston, North Carolina was going at an excessive rate of speed in a Chevy Suburban.*

According to local authorities, a man from Kinston, North Carolina was speeding in a Chevy Suburban.  The driver, as a result, ran through a red light at the intersection located at United States Highway 258 northbound.

The North Lenoir Fire and Rescue squad placed a picture of the accident scene on Facebook, noting that the man who sped through a red light crashed into eight automobiles at a local dealership.

Due to the excessive rate of speed, the Chevy Suburban crashed into the dealership, became airborne, and landed on the tops of numerous vehicles.

The local car dealership is located across from the intersection of Dobbs Farm Road. The owner of the dealership indicated to reporters that  "I never imagined what I would find when I got here, total mayhem. It was like a war zone. I had eight cars damaged."

The man driving the Chevy Suburban sustained no injured in the crash. However, he was arrested by police and charged with a DUI. The man also had a warrant outstanding for his role in a domestic incident.  The Breathalyzer indicated that the man had a blood alcohol level of 0.09, per the Neuse News.  The man is currently at the Lenoir County Jail 

Williams also had an outstanding warrant for a domestic situation.  

 Breathalyzer showed a blood alcohol content of 0.09, according to The Neuse News.  As a result of the accident, the man is facing charges of “driving while impaired, driving with a revoked license, and driving without insurance.”

The owner of the vehicle dealership told reporters that while he had someone clip one of his vehicles in the past, he never had to face the level of damages to multiple vehicles.
