Police Identify those Involved in Deadly SUV Accident
MILLEDGEVILLE, GA. — According to an online news report at the unionrecorder.com, police have released the names of three individuals who died and two others who sustained injuries in a single automobile accident.*
The accident caused the death of three people as well as injuries to two others. It occurred on United States Highway 441 in Baldwin County, Georgia.
The victims of the accident were residents of the Oconee House, which is an assisted living facility. This facility is located in Putnam County in the Buckhead area.
Those who died are a sixty eight year old woman, a seventy seven year old man, and another twenty nine year old male. All of these individuals died at the scene of the crash. They all sustained “blunt force trauma,” per the Chief Deputy Coroner.
The accident also caused injuries to two others, identified as a fifty nine year old woman and another fifty nine year old woman. These individuals received treatment at the scene and were airlifted to a hospital in Macon, Georgia.
It has been reported by a hospital spokesperson that one of the woman is in fair condition while the other is in critical condition as of Wednesday, April 3, 2019.
The accident involved a Chevy Trailblazer which was going north along a four lane highway, per the Georgia State Patrol. The injured woman was the one who was driving her SUV that ultimately crashed and turned over, landing on its roof. It appears that the woman went across two lanes of the other side of the roadway, hit a ditch, and then flipped over. The roadway where the accident occurred is United States Highway 441. It happened right before 3:00 p.m.
The accident remains under investigation at this time. It is not clear whether charges will be filed in this case. There are no further details on the accident.
