One Person Succumbs to Injuries in Multi Vehicle Accident in Levy County; Accident Involved Four Motorcycles

LEVY COUNTY, FL – According to an online news report at firstcoastnews.com, a person has died in the afternoon hours. The accident involved two vehicles and four motorcycles, per the Florida Highway Patrol.*

One person is dead after an accident with two vehicles and four motorcycles, per the Florida Highway Patrol. One of the motorcyclists, aged 55, died at the scene of the accident, which is United States Highway 41 located southbound of East Levy Street.

The Florida Highway Patrol state that the accident occurred at a little past 2:40 p.m. as a Chevrolet Silverado and Kia Soul went southbound on United States Highway 41. A number of motorcyclists were going northbound when they tried to pass another automobile.  Three of the bikers were unable to get past the vehicle and as a result, they collided with the Kia Soul.

One motorcyclist hit into the Chevrolet Silverado, which caused it to go off the road, per the Florida Highway Patrol.  They further note that four of the people in the accident were transported to Shands University of Florida Health in Gainesville, Florida.

The crash remains under investigation by local authorities.
