Cobb County Accident Leaves One Dead and Others Injured
COBB COUNTY, GA — According to an online news report at 11alive.com, an eighty two year old victim died in an accident that occurred in the afternoon.*
An eighty two year woman old has died after being involved in an accident that occurred at the intersection of Humphries Hill Road and the C.H James Parkway.
Based upon a preliminary investigation of the accident, it appears that a black Ford F-150 was travelling in a southerly direction as the driver was approaching the above stated intersection. At the same time, the accident investigators note that the driver of a gray Nissan Rouge was travelling in a northerly direction and attempted to turn left at the intersection. This is where the Nissan driver struck the front of the Ford F-150 in the middle of the intersection.
The severe impact of the accident tragically killed an eighty two year old woman from Atlanta, who was in the front passenger seat in the Nissan. Emergency personnel note that the woman died at the scene of the accident. The driver of the Nissan, a sixty two year old woman from Douglasville, was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The twenty year old driver of the Ford F-150 was also injured in the accident, however, emergency personnel were able to treat him at the scene of the crash.
There are no further details on the accident at this time. It is also not known whether charges will be filed against the female driver of the Nissan for causing the accident. The accident remains under investigation by local authorities.
