Bicyclist Killed on on Plantation Drive on Hilton Head Island

HILTON HEAD ISLAND – According to an online report at wjcl.com, an accident occurred at around 12:00 p.m. on Plantation Drive close to Calibogue Cay Road in the Sea Pines located around Hilton Head Island.*

The vehicles involved were a dump truck and a bike.  The bicyclist died as a result of the accident.  The truck was turning left off of Calibogue Cay Road towards Plantation Drive. The cyclist was attempting to cross Plantation Drive towards Calibogue Cay Road when the two vehicles collided into one another.

There are no further accidents that are available at this time.  The accident remains under investigation by police.
