A Man is Killed in Lexington County Accident in Lexington County, South Carolina

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC — According to an online news report at, a man was killed in a head on collision that occurred in Lexington County, South Carolina.*

A man is dead following a head on collision that occurred in Lexington County, South Carolina.  The accident happened on South Carolina Highway 6 close to Blackville Road.  The local coroner has identified the individual as a forty two year old man from Lexington, South Carolina.  

The local police state that the man was going east on the roadway when his car veered over the center line and slammed into a box truck going in the opposite direction.   The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.  The driver of the truck was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

There are no further details on the accident at this time.  The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
