Woman Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver After Falling Out of Car in Miami, FL
MIAMI, FL. – According to a news story published online at dailymail.co.uk, a woman was killed by a hit-and-run driver after falling out of a car in Miami, Florida. The woman and her friends were ending a Spring Break vacation, and the woman was hanging out the window when she fell. A passing car hit her and did not stop.*
The accident took place shortly before 5 a.m. on State Road 112 in Miami. A 23-year-old woman from Gurnee, Illinois, and her friends had finished a vacation in Miami and were headed back to the airport for their flight home. The woman’s friends told reporters that she was hanging out the car window, bidding farewell to the city. The car changed lanes, and the woman lost her balance, falling out of the window.
The woman landed on the roadway, and authorities say a passing Range Rover then struck her and continued driving. Authorities and the Daily Mail said she was killed in the accident. Florida Highway Patrol is still searching for the missing vehicle and driver. No information has been reported about potential suspects.
Friends and loved ones are grief-stricken and hope that they will find justice for the young woman. They told reporters that she was full of life, had an infectious smile, and was devoted to her faith and helping others. She was a mental health technician at a nonprofit organization in Illinois and had big plans for her future, including marrying her longtime boyfriend.
