Multi-Vehicle Wreck Kills Motorcyclist in Seminole County, Florida
SEMINOLE COUNTY, FL. – According to an online news story published by wftv.com, a multi-vehicle wreck killed a motorcyclist in Seminole County, Florida. Another motorcyclist who was also involved in the accident sustained serious injuries. The crash reportedly involved four vehicles in total.*
The crash occurred at about 12:30 a.m. on March 11 on Interstate 4 in Seminole County. Florida Highway Patrol and WFTV report that two cars were traveling east on I-4 and somehow collided in the area of Lake Mary Boulevard. It is unclear what caused this collision, and the makes and models of the two cars were not included in the news report.
Both cars veered into another lane of the interstate after the impact, and they subsequently struck two motorcycles that were also traveling east on I-4. Troopers stated that the two motorcyclists were ejected during the crash.
WFTV reports that a woman from Indiana was riding one of the motorcycles, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. A man from Indiana was riding the other motorcycle, WFTV reports, and he sustained serious injuries in the wreck. He was transported to Central Florida Regional Hospital, where WFTV reports that he is in critical condition.
It is unclear if anyone riding in the two cars suffered injuries in the collisions. No one from the cars was identified in the WFTV report. WFTV reported that Florida Highway Patrol Troopers were anticipating charges against one of the car’s drivers in connection to the initial crash.
Investigation of this crash is ongoing, and Troopers had not released further information when the WFTV report was posted.
