Man from Indiana in the Hospital Following Accident
SAVANNAH, GA — according to indianagazette.com, an Indiana man has been hospitalized following a serious accident that resulted in the death of one individual and injuries to four other people.*
The accident occurred on Thursday in a coastal city near the South Carolina border. The man was hospitalized following the accident, which killed one person and injured four other individuals. According to a report from the Savannah Police Department, the hospitalized man is forty one years old. Four other people were also transported to a local hospital for treatment. The accident occurred at 12:30 p.m.
According to investigators, the man was a passenger of the operator of a vehicle who was suffering from some type of medical problem before the vehicle went through a red light and crossed into the Victory Drive intersection, which is a major thoroughfare also known as United States Route 80.
Per the police, a Honda driven by an individual from Richmond Hill, Georgia struck the Toyota Camry of another person, from Savannah, Georgia. The vehicles, upon impact, spun around and slammed into a utility pole, traffic control box, and a building, after the collision.
One passenger in the Camry, a nineteen year old, also from Savannah, Georgia, tragically died in the crash, per the local police department’s news release.
Police note that the passengers in both of the vehicles involved in the crash sustained severe injuries and were transported to a local hospital. These individuals was a man, a woman who is 23 years old, and the hospitalized man, who as noted above, is 41 years old. According to a publicist at the Savannah Hospital, there is no further information about the 41 year old hospitalized man. The accident currently remains under investigation by police.
