Two Injured in Semi-Truck Collision in Orlando, Florida on March 6, 2019

ORLANDO, FL. – According to an online news story reported by, two people were injured in a semi-truck collision in Orlando, Florida. One of the injured persons was a pregnant woman, according to the news report. The report states the two were trapped in their vehicle after the collision, and they were taken to a hospital.* 

The crash occurred on March 6, 2019 on Orange County, Florida. Officials report that a BMW (model not reported) and a semi-truck somehow collided in the area of Wetherbee Road and Orange Avenue. Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene, and Troopers did not say how the crash happened. 

A man and a pregnant woman were inside the BMW at the time of the crash, and officials said they were entrapped after the accident. Orange County Fire Rescue freed them from the wrecked vehicle, and paramedics took them to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries, according to the news report.

The report from ClickOrlando did not say how seriously the two people were injured. No information was reported about the current status of their medical conditions or the condition of the unborn child. 

ClickOrlando reported that it was not clear if anyone else sustained injuries in the accident. The cause of the crash was not known, according to the report, and no information about the events leading to the collision had been released. 

Following the crash, officials shut down Wetherbee Road at the crossing with Orange Avenue. It is not clear how long that closure remained in effect. Florida Highway Patrol is still in the process of conducting its investigation into the accident. Troopers had not released further information at the time of the ClickOrlando report’s publishing.
