Two-Vehicle Wreck Results in Injuries in Albany, Georgia
ALBANY, GA. – According to a news story reported online by walb.com, a two-vehicle wreck resulted in injuries in Albany, Georgia. One of the vehicles involved in the accident overturned after the impact, and one person was transported away from the scene with injuries.*
The accident occurred in the late afternoon on Archwood Drive in Albany, Georgia. It is not yet clear what caused the collision, but two vehicles somehow crashed into each other at about 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Archwood Drive and Stuart Avenue. Upon impact, one of the vehicles turned onto its side. The vehicle descriptions were not included in the report from WALB.
WALB states that first responders transported one person away from the scene for emergency treatment of injuries at a nearby hospital. This person was only identified as a male. It is not clear if he was a driver or passenger in one of the two vehicles. The extent of his injuries and his current medical status were not reported by WALB.
A video from the scene posted to WALB’s website shows that one of the vehicles was a black Ford truck or SUV, and the other was a white car. The Ford vehicle is show lying on its driver’s side in the middle of the roadway. The white car is pictured being loaded onto the back of a tow truck.
WALB did not report how the accident took place or what events might have led to the collision. Local authorities were on the scene and are continuing to investigate the crash at this time.
