Two School Buses Collide in Hampton County, South Carolina

HAMPTON COUNTY, SC. – According to a news report published online at, two school buses collided in Hampton County, South Carolina. Little information about the collision has been released at this time, and South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. It is unclear if anyone was injured.* 

The collision happened in the morning on February 26 in Hampton County. The report from WTOC did not indicate where in the county the crash occurred or provide any street names, but the report stated that it occurred before 8 a.m. that day. Two school buses were involved in the wreck. No information was reported about the cause of the collision or the circumstances surrounding the accident.

It is not clear if the buses were the only vehicles involved. No other vehicles were described in the WTOC report, and the report did not state which school or school system owned the buses. The report said the Hampton County School District 2 was assisting in the investigation. No statement from the school system was published. 

There was no information in the WTOC report about whether students were on either of the buses at the time of the collision. The report indicated that officials had not said whether anyone was injured in the accident. No one involved in the bus collision was identified in the article from WTOC.

South Carolina Highway Patrol Troopers are investigating the accident, according to WTOC, and additional information should be published at a later date. No further information was available at the time of the new report’s publishing online.
