Woman Killed in South Fulton, GA, Two-Vehicle Crash

SOUTH FULTON, GA. – According to an online news story published by, a woman was killed in a South Fulton, Georgia, two-vehicle crash. The crash took place at an intersection in the city that sees a lot of traffic, and one person who lives in the area says the traffic light at the intersection was not operating at the time of the accident.* 

The two vehicles involved in the accident were reportedly traveling east and west on Campbellton Road in South Fulton and somehow crashed at the intersection with Camp Creek Parkway, according to the South Fulton Police Department. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and police report that one woman was killed in the accident.

The victim was not initially identified, but news reports and the police department now say that the victim was a 48-year-old woman. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution stated that the woman was a wife and mother of four children. 

The news report indicated that police have not provided information about the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash. Reporters spoke with a woman who lives near the intersection of Campbellton and Camp Creek, and she said the traffic light at the crossing was not operating at the time of the crash. She said that it had been malfunctioning for about a week, and that even when it wass working, numerous accidents take place at the intersection. 

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the City of South Fulton has not commented on the condition of the traffic light. No further information about the accident has been released at this time.
