Single-Vehicle Wreck in Macon, Georgia, Leaves Man with Serious Injuries

February 28, 2019

MACON, GA. – According to an online news story from 41nbc.com, a single-vehicle wreck in Macon, Georgia, left a man with serious injuries. The report from 41 NBC did not identify a cause for the crash nor the man who was injured in the accident.*

At about 3:30 a.m. on Monday, February 25, a 1998 Lincoln Town Car was traveling north on Pio Nono Avenue in Macon. According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and 41 NBC, the driver of the Lincoln somehow lost control of his vehicle and hit an All Star Tire sign. It is not clear from the 41 NBC report where on the roadway this occurred. No cross street was provided.

The news report from 41 NBC states that the driver of the Lincoln suffered serious injuries in the accident, and first responders took him to the Medical Center, Navicent Health in Macon, where he is said to be in critical condition.

The 41 NBC report did not identify the man, nor did it describe any other people or vehicles involved in the collision. It appears this was a single-vehicle wreck, and the male driver was the only person in the vehicle.

Pio Nono Avenue was shut down following the accident on the northbound side while crews investigated at the scene and cleared the wreckage. The closure remained in effect for several hours.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is still in the process of investigating this accident, and deputies ask anyone who might have information about the wreck to call the sheriff’s office at (478) 751-7500.
