Driver in Critical Condition After Vehicle Wreck in Macon, Georgia
MACON, GA. – According to a news report posted online by wgxa.tv, a driver is in critical condition after a vehicle wreck in Macon, Georgia. It appears only one vehicle was involved in the accident, and only the driver was inside the vehicle. The driver’s name has not been released at this time.*
The collision occurred in the early morning hours of February 25 on Pio Nono Avenue in Macon. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office reported to WGXA that an emergency call about a car accident came into the office around 3:30 a.m. on February 25. Deputies and WGXA reported that a 1998 Lincoln Town Car was headed north on Pio Nono Avenue, when the driver somehow lost control.
Upon losing control of the car, the driver crashed into an All Star Tire sign on the road, according to the report. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said the driver was seriously injured in the wreck, and an ambulance crew took the driver to Navicent Health Hospital.
The driver has been identified only as a male. His name was not released by officials. The man is in critical condition at this time, according to WGXA.
It does not appear from the WGXA report that any other vehicles were involved in the accident or that anyone else was riding in the Lincoln when it crashed. This information has not been officially confirmed by authorities.
