Police Investigating Injury Vehicle Crash in Savannah, Georgia

SAVANNAH, GA. – As reported online in a news story from, police in Savannah, Georgia, are investigating a vehicle accident that resulted in injuries. At this time, it is not clear how many people suffered injuries in the wreck, and officers have not released the names of anyone involved.* 

The vehicle crash took place on the evening of February 18, but reports did not specify what time that evening. Two vehicles were somehow involved in a wreck on Waters Avenue in Savannah in the area of the roadway between Victory Drive and 40th Street. Descriptions of the vehicles were not provided, nor was information about the circumstances of the accident. 

Photos from the scene indicate one of the vehicles was a light-colored pickup truck, and the other was a dark-colored car. Both vehicles have front-end damage. The truck appears to have crashed into a structure outside of a business or residential building, and the car traveled onto the sidewalk. 

Savannah Police responded to the site of the crash, and officers did not immediately know why the wreck took place or what events might have contributed to the crash. Officers had to close down the roadway to allow for investigation and cleanup at the scene.

Reports stated that at least one person was injured. It is not known whether more than one person was injured or whether the injured person or persons required emergency transport to a hospital. The extent of injuries was not reported. Police did not release the names of anyone riding in the two vehicles. 

The investigative process for this crash is ongoing, and Savannah Police officers have not reported further information to the public at this time.
