CLINTON, TN. – An online news story published at reports that a Tennessee Department of Transportation worker was injured January 29 in a collision with a tractor-trailer. The collision occurred on Interstate 75 in Clinton, Tennessee, and cleanup affected traffic in the area for around five hours.*

The accident happened in the early morning hours of January 29 on Interstate 75 in Clinton, Anderson County, Tennessee. At about 4 a.m. that day, a Tennessee Department of Transportation truck was traveling on I-75 and somehow collided with a tractor-trailer near mile marker 118. The driver of the DOT truck has not been identified. He or she reportedly suffered minor injuries in the accident, and emergency responders transported him or her to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was also not identified, and it is not clear if he or she was injured. No information was reported about the tractor-trailer.

Tennessee DOT did not issue a statement directly addressing the accident but told the public to use extra caution while driving throughout the state, due to freezing temperatures on the roads. The accident scene was cleared and all lanes reopened on I-75 at about 9 a.m., five hours after the collision.
