Two-Vehicle Accident Leaves Five Injured in Eutawville, South Carolina

EUTAWVILLE, SC. – According to an online news report published at thetandd.com, a two-vehicle accident on January 27 left five people injured in Eutawville, South Carolina. Details about the accident itself have not yet been reported, but authorities have provided some information about the victims. One of the injured victims was a child.*

The crash occurred around 7:15 p.m. on January 27 on Old Number Six Highway in Eutawville. Two vehicles somehow crashed between Milky Way Lane and Moncks Corner Road on the highway. It is not clear what direction the vehicles were traveling or how they collided. No vehicle descriptions were reported, nor were any factors contributing to the crash. 

Five people were injured in the wreck, including one child. Emergency responders called medical helicopters to the scene, after which two people were airlifted to nearby hospitals. These people have not been identified, and their current medical conditions were not reported. Authorities said one of the victims flown from the scene was the child, who had suffered serious injuries. 

Two ambulances also arrived at the scene and transported three people to local hospitals for treatment. These people were also not identified, and their current conditions were not reported. Officials said at least one of the victims was conscious and alert upon transport. It is not clear if this person was transported via ambulance or helicopter, and it is also not clear if the other victims were not conscious. 

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the collision, and Troopers have not released further information to the public at this time. It is not clear if either of the drivers will be cited for the crash.
