Vehicle Hits Man Dancing in Road in Macon, Georgia
MACON, GA. – A vehicle hit a man who was reportedly dancing in the roadway January 24 in Macon, Georgia, according to an online news story reported at 13wmaz.com. The victim has been identified, but the circumstances surrounding the incident are still not clear.*
The incident occurred on the morning of January 24 in Macon. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office received a call around 7:30 a.m. that day about a man who was dancing in the roadway on Allen Road. Deputies were traveling to the location described in the call when they received another call saying the man had been hit by a vehicle.
Deputies arrived at the crossing of Allen Road and Browning Pointe Road to find the man injured. Emergency crews transported the man to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries is not known, but he is reportedly in stable condition. He has been identified as 22-year-old Michael Brown. Brown’s city of residence was not included in reports.
It is still not clear why Brown was in the roadway before the collision. Authorities did not say whether a toxicology analysis had been ordered, and they did not provide any possible explanations for Brown’s behavior.
The make and model of the vehicle that hit Brown was not reported. The driver, who has not been identified, seems to have stayed at the scene and talked to officers. Police do not anticipate any charges will be filed against this driver, given the circumstances of the collision. No additional information has been reported at this time.
