BERTIE COUNTY, NC. – Sheriff’s deputies in North Carolina suspect homicide after they responded to a call about a vehicle wreck January 19, according to an online news story reported at 13newsnow.com. At approximately 9 p.m. on January 19, the Bertie County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding a possible vehicle crash in Bertie County, North Carolina. Deputies responded to the area described in the call, which was located on Center Grove Road, near Jernigan Swamp Road in Powellsville, North Carolina.

Deputies arrived to find the driver of a moped had suffered severe injuries. The moped driver was already deceased by the time authorities arrived.
