Two Georgia Teenagers Injured After Crashing into Florida Restaurant

WAKULLA COUNTY, FL. – Two Georgia teenagers were injured after crashing a vehicle into a Florida restaurant, according to a new story reported online at The crash appears to have been caused by a failure to stop at a stop sign.* 

The accident reports did not indicate what time on that day. Florida Highway Patrol says a vehicle (make and model not reported) was traveling southbound on State Road 363 in Wakulla County, Florida. At the intersection of State Road 363 and Riverside Drive, the vehicle missed a stop sign and drove into the Riverside Café. 

Florida Highway Patrol Troopers said the driver of the vehicle, 18-year-old Bailey Gordon, of Coolidge, Georgia, failed to stop at the intersection’s stop sign. Gordon was seriously injured in the crash, and an ambulance crew transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment. His current medical condition is not known. 

A passenger in the vehicle was also injured. She has been identified as 18-year-old Kathryn Howe, of Thomasville, Georgia. Howe also went to a local hospital for treatment, and her medical condition has not been reported. 

Troopers did not say whether anyone was inside the restaurant at the time of the crash or whether anyone at the restaurant was injured. They also did not report about the extent of the damage to the restaurant. It is not clear whether Gordon will be issued a citation or charged in connection with the crash. 

Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating this incident and has not yet released further information to the public.
