Vehicle Crash in Forsyth County, GA, Kills One, Injures Two
FORSYTH COUNTY, GA. – According to an online news report from patch.com, a 2 vehicle crash in Forsyth County, Georgia, killed one person and injured two others. The cause of the crash has not been determined, but it appears one vehicle turned into the path of another on Buford Highway.*
The crash occurred at the Ga. 400 ramp entrance on Buford Highway in Forsyth County. A 2007 Honda Odyssey was traveling westbound on Buford Highway while a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze was traveling eastbound on Buford Highway. At the entrance ramp to Ga. 400 North, the Chevy driver attempted to turn left to enter Ga. 400 and collided with the Honda.
It is not yet clear what caused the crash, but it seems the driver of the Chevy turned into the path of the Honda. The circumstances of the wreck are still being investigated. The driver of the Chevy, 27-year-old Jordan Banasiak, of Cumming, Georgia, was seriously injured and transported to North Fulton Hospital. The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office reports Banasiak died the following day at the hospital.
The driver of the Honda has been identified as 32-year-old Vayid Dzhakhidov, of Cumming. Vayid Dzhakhidov’s wife, 26-year-old Arzu Mirbaeva, was passenger in the Honda at the time of the crash. Both Dzhakhidov and Mirbaeva were injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Their injuries are reportedly non-life threatening.
The Forsyth County Sheriff Office’s Traffic Specialist Unit is still investigating this collision and has not yet released additional information.
