Car Rear-Ends Farm Tractor in Crisp County, Georgia
CRISP COUNTY, GA. – As reported online by wgxa.tv, a car rear-ended a farm tractor on January 8 in Crisp County, Georgia. The cause of the collision has not been determined, and one person was injured in the incident.
The crash occurred on the evening of January 8 on Coney Road in Crisp County. At about 6:30 p.m., a farm tractor (make and model not reported) was traveling north on Coney Road. It is not clear if the tractor had lights or reflective equipment, which is required by law in Georgia. In the area of the road north of Pine, a car ran into the back of the tractor.
The make and model of the car were not reported, but it appears from photos to be a black sedan. Photos from the scene show the car with extensive front end damage stopped across the north lane of the road, while the tractor is overturned in a tree-lined area off of the roadway. It appears the tractor might have hit a tree or some brush after impact.
One person was injured in the accident, and emergency crews transported him or her to a nearby hospital. This person has not been identified. His or her injuries are said to be non-life threatening. Georgia State Patrol is handling investigation of the accident, which is ongoing.
The Crisp County Sheriff’s Office posted photos to Facebook after the accident and said: “Four different Crisp County Public Safety agencies responded to an accident earlier around 6:30 on Coney Road north of Pine. A farm tractor traveling North on Coney was struck from behind by a vehicle … The accident is under investigation by GSP Post 30. Crisp County Fire and Rescue and Crisp County Sheriff’s Office Deputies also responded.”
