One Killed in Single-Car Collision in Walker County, Georgia
WALKER COUNTY, GA. – One person was killed in a single-car collision in Walker County, Georgia, according to an online news report from chattanoogan.com. The victim has not yet been identified, and the cause of the crash is not known.*
A vehicle traveling on Old Trion Road in Walker County left the roadway and hit a tree. It is not yet clear how the crash occurred. The driver died in the wreck, and a passenger was airlifted from the scene to a local hospital. Neither has been identified, and the passenger’s current medical condition is not known.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash. Georgia State Patrol is currently investigating the collision, and no additional information has been released at this time.
Walker County is located in the northwestern corner of the state of Georgia and has an estimated population of 68,000. The county’s major roadways include U.S. Route 27, State Route 1, State Route 95, State Route 193, and State Route 341.
