Trucker Killed in Crash Between Two Semi-Trucks in Texas

December 30, 2018

MIDLAND COUNTY, TX. – As reported online by yourbasin.com, a trucker was killed in a crash between two semi-trucks in Midland County, Texas. One of the truck drivers failed to yield, causing the crash.*

74-year-old Ray Reyes, of Big Lake, Texas, was driving a tractor-trailer in Midland County. At the intersection of Highway 158 and FM 1379, another tractor-trailer failed to yield the right-of-way and collided with Reyes’s tractor-trailer.

Reyes died at the scene. It does not appear the driver of the other tractor-trailer, Angel Martinez-Munoz (age and city not reported), was injured. No information was reported about whether he will be cited or charged in connection with the accident.

Texas authorities are still investigating the accident and have not yet released additional information.

Midland County, Texas, is about 1,000 miles from the border of Georgia at Columbus, Muscogee County. Interstate 185 is a major roadway within Muscogee County, as are U.S. Route 27, U.S. Route 80, and U.S. Route 280.
