Head-On Crash in North Carolina Kills One Woman
FAYETTEVILLE, NC. – According to an online news report from fayobserver.com, a head-on vehicle crash that killed one woman in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The other driver has been charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle.*
Tyrah T. Jackson, of Chadbourn, North Carolina, was driving a Ford Focus south on N.C. 87 near Fayetteville. Near Marsh Road, a northbound Toyota Sequoia crossed over the median in the road and into the southbound lanes. The Toyota then crashed into Jackson’s Ford head-on.
Jackson tragically died at the scene, according to North Carolina Highway Patrol. It is not clear if the driver of the Toyota, 42-year-old Raymond E. Earp, of Clayton, North Carolina, was injured in the crash. It is also not yet clear what caused Earp to drive into the median and into the opposite lanes. Officials indicate he was charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle and driving while license revoked.
North Carolina authorities are still investigating the crash, and no further details have been released at this time.
