November 30, 2018

ATLANTA, GA. – According to an online news report from 11alive.com, a car hit and injured a woman November 23 at a busy intersection in Atlanta, Georgia. The woman is still hospitalized, but it does not appear her injuries are life-threatening.*

The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on November 23. A woman, who has not been identified, walked into the intersection of Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway and Interstate 285 North and was struck by a car. She was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital with a head injury and is reportedly recovering. Police said she was conscious and breathing at the time of transport.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with police. Officials do not expect to pursue any charges against the driver, who has also not been identified, because of the circumstances of the accident. It seems the driver did not have time to stop when the woman entered the road.

It is still not clear why the woman walked into the intersection. No additional information has been reported at this time.
