DEKALB COUNTY, GA. – As reported online by wsbtv.com, the count of total vehicles involved in a November 26 wreck on Interstate 285 in DeKalb County, Georgia, has been increased from seven to eight.*

The wreck involved four tractor-trailers and four other vehicles. Earlier reports indicated three tractor-trailers and four other vehicles were involved. The crash occurred around 3 p.m. on November 26 on I-285 North, between Moreland Avenue and Flat Shoals Road in DeKalb County. One person was reportedly entrapped in a vehicle after the crash. DeKalb County Police said three people were transported to hospitals with injuries. One person was in critical condition, and two people suffered moderate to severe injuries.

The victims have not been identified. Police have not yet released information about the cause of the crash or the circumstances surrounding the crash. It appears one or more of the tractor-trailers might have caught on fire after the crash.

All lanes of I-285 North were diverted to Flat Shoals Road, and delays stretched back to Interstate 75. All lanes were reopened a little more than two hours later.
