Tractor-Trailer Fire Shuts Down I-75 in Peach County, Georgia
PEACH COUNTY, GA. – October 24, 2018 (13wmaz.com) According to an online news report from 13wmaz.com, a tractor-trailer crash and resulting fire shut down all of Interstate 75 North October 24 in Peach County, Georgia.*
The wreck occurred during the afternoon of October 24 on I-75 North in Peach County. Just before the Highway 96 interchange, a tractor-trailer carrying a load of hay crashed. It is not clear how the crash occurred or whether any other vehicles were involved. The hay on the truck caught fire after the accident, causing all lanes of I-75 North to be shut down.
The driver of the tractor-trailer has not been identified, and it is not clear whether the driver or anyone else was injured. The Georgia Department of Transportation said drivers should expect the area to remain closed into the evening and encouraged people to take alternate routes. No additional information is available at this time.
