HALL COUNTY, GA. – October 17, 2018 (ajc.com) A three-vehicle wreck in Hall County, Georgia, resulted in one fatality and injuries to three others on October 17. One of the injured passengers was a 1-year-old child.*

On October 17, 22-year-old Angela Riseden, of Oakwood, Georgia, was driving a Toyota Yaris and attempted to make a right turn onto Ga. 13 from Valley Green Drive in Hall County. Riseden failed to yield before turning and drove into the path of a southbound Ford Ranger. The Ford crashed into Riseden’s Toyota, sending the Toyota off of the roadway. The Ford then spun into northbound traffic, where it struck a Nissan Versa.

Riseden died at the scene of the crash. The driver of the Ford, 30-year-old Brittany Dade, of Gainesville, Georgia, was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. A 1-year-old child traveling in the Ford was flown to Scottish Rite Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The child’s name has been released but withheld from this story for privacy reasons. The driver of the Nissan, 23-year-old Kaitlin Loggins, of Flowery Branch, Georgia, was also transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

In their preliminary investigation of the crash, Troopers with Georgia State Patrol found that Dade was driving under the influence. She has been charged with DUI and endangering a child under 14 while under the influence. Upon release from medical care, she is expected to be transferred into police custody and booked into the Hall County jail.

Georgia State Patrol is continuing to investigate the collision and has not released additional information at this time.
