October 27, 2018

ATLANTA, GA. – October 15, 2018 ( According to an online news report from, a woman from Pennsylvania is looking for answers regarding the death of her husband, who was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Atlanta, Georgia.*

Gwen Serrano, of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, says police officers informed her that her husband, Angel Manuel Serrano Jr., was killed in a traffic accident in Atlanta. The driver fled the scene after the crash. Gwen says police do not have a suspect in the case yet, and she wants know what happened.

Angel had been diagnosed with schizophrenia during their relationship, Gwen says, and confusion from his illness might partly explain why he was on the streets of Atlanta before he died — six states away from home.

“He would just not know certain events,” Gwen said of her husband’s illness. “He would not know what year we were in. He would not know the president.”

But regardless how why he was in Atlanta, Gwen wants to understand how he died and who is responsible, and she wants that person to understand the impact of Angel’s death.

“I want to know who did this,” she said. “I want them to know he has a family. He was a husband and a father. Very hard worker. I just want to know why. This could have been prevented. He could have been saved. If they would have called 911, he might be ok right now. He did not deserve this. He was a very good man.”
