Fort Valley Woman Hit by Two Vehicles on I-75 in Perry, Georgia
PERRY, GA. – September 1, 2018 (13wmaz.com) According to an online news report from 13wmaz.com, a woman tragically died August 31 after being struck by two vehicles on Interstate 75 in Perry, Georgia.*
At approximately 11 p.m. on August 31, 34-year-old Natalie Green, of Fort Valley, Georgia, pulled her vehicle over on the right side of Interstate 75 in Perry. She exited her vehicle and was standing on the side of the interstate. It is not clear why she had pulled over or why she got out of her car. As she was standing outside of her car, a Ford F-150 struck Green with its right side mirror.
The driver of the F-150 immediately pulled over and called for emergency help. While the driver was waiting for help to arrive, a second truck crashed into a Pontiac Grand Am, sending the Grand Am into the F-150. The driver of the second truck fled the scene. Thereafter, a black Chrysler 300 struck Green for a second time. Green died of her injuries.
It is not clear whether the driver of the Chrysler stayed at the scene. It is also not clear whether the Grand Am was pulled over and assisting at the scene or whether the accident between the truck and the Grand Am was completely unrelated. Authorities are searching for the driver of the truck that hit the Grand Am.
Georgia State Patrol is investigating the incident and has not yet released additional information. No one involved except for Green has been identified at this time.
