Divers searched for victims the night of the accident and the next day. By the end of the day on July 20, all 31 people on board the boat were accounted for, and 17 people were reported dead. Nine of the deceased were members of the same family from Indiana, who were visiting Branson on an annual family trip. The boat’s driver was also killed, but the captain of the boat survived. The 14 survivors were all transported to nearby medical facilities with injuries.
