Nationally, close to 6,000 pedestrians were killedtwo years in a row. Georgia ranked 16 out of all states with its number of pedestrian deaths.
Georgia is working to improve the safety of its streets for people traveling on foot. The state’s action plan includes “target corridors for assessment and counter measures, conducting road safety audits, and conducting school road safety audits.”
