MARIETTA, GA. – July 26, 2018 ( According to an article on a teenage girl from Marietta has died of her injuries after falling out of a moving car July 5 in Cobb County, Georgia.

Officers with the Cobb County Police Department say 18-year-old Alyssa Prindle, of Marietta, was riding in a silver 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe that was traveling northbound on Johnson Ferry Road July 5 in Marietta. The driver of the vehicle was 17-year-old Abigail Cook, of Marietta. She ended up falling out of the window while the vehicle was still moving and hit the pavement.

Prindle was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital and was admitted to the intensive care unit. On July 26, officials indicated that Prindle had died of her injuries.

On the night of the incident, police took Cook, the driver, into custody, indicating that underage drinking was involved. Cook was booked into the Cobb County Jail and charged with underage driving under the influence, reckless driving, serious injury by vehicle, underage possession of alcohol, possession of false identification, and violation of a class D driver’s license hours restrictions.

In announcing the death of Prindle, Cobb County Police Department Sgt.
