Over 500 model year 2018 Audi S5 cabriolets that have Super Sports seats
Why is there a recall?
The seat mounted head/thorax airbag in the front passenger seat is suspected to have been folded improperly during its installation, which could result in untimely deployment in the event of an accident and could cause serious injuries.
What is the Solution?
If you take your vehicle to a dealership, they will replace the front passenger side airbag free of charge.
What Should Owners of the 2018 Audi S5 do?
Owners will be notified about the recall on July 13, 2018. They can call the manufacturer at 800-253-2834, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their VIN and to learn more about the recall.
