UPDATE: Teenager Dead in Single Vehicle Accident in Bartow County, Georgia
BARTOW COUNTY, GA — May 29, 2018 (patch.com). According to an online news report at patch.com, the eighteen year old woman involved in a single crash on Georgia Highway 20/U.S. 411 in Bartow County died as a result of her injuries.*
Emergency personnel including the Fire Department were dispatched to the scene of the accident which occurred on the western side of the highway at Hamilton Crossing Road. Per the Georgia State Patrol, the car was going westbound in the left lane when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The car started to go clockwise, travel off the northern side of the road, strike two trees and continue to turn clockwise when it came to its final resting place facing southbound.
The driver was examined by emergency personnel, who died at the scene of the accident, per Bartow County EMS Director Brandon Duncan. The victim has been positively identified by Bartow County Coroner Joel Guyton as eighteen year old Emily Lauren Brown, from Rome, Georgia.

The accident remains under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol. No further details on the crash are available at this time.
