31-year-old Man Was Tragically Killed in a Motorcycle Accident on Riverwatch Parkway in Augusta, Georgia
AUGUSTA, GEORGIA - According to an online news report posted on wrdw.com, the Richmond County Coroner's office and law enforcement officials are investigating a motorcycle accident on Riverwatch Parkway at Greene Street in Augusta, Georgia.*
The Richmond County Coroner reported that a 31-year-old man from Sardis had been tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the motorcycle accident at approximately 3 PM Sunday.
At around 3:30 PM, the Richmond County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the motorcycle accident. The news reporters stated that the Richmond County Sheriff's Office Traffic Division had blocked off a westbound portion of Riverwatch Parkway by 15th Street. Richmond County Sheriff's Office Sergeant Caleb Lee stated that the motorcyclist was discovered deceased at the accident scene.
At approximately 4:20 PM, Richmond County Sheriff's Office deputies began clearing the accident scene. A tow truck was called out to remove the motorcycle. The name of the accident victim was released but is withheld to protect the privacy of the grieving family.
