Two People Were Tragically Killed in a Hit-and-Run Crash in Atlanta

ATLANTA, GEORGIA - According to an online news article published on 11alive.com, two people were tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident caused by a hit-and-run driver.*

The crash injured one and took the life of a young boy. The Atlanta Police are currently searching for the driver who fled the fatal collision. Atlanta Police officers were called out to the scene of the accident at around 3 AM, which was at the intersection of County Line Road SW and Campbellton Road SW. Atlanta Police officers reported that the crash only involved one motor vehicle.

The Atlanta Police reported that there were multiple accident victims in the car, and one passenger was taken to the hospital, where they tragically succumbed to their injuries. An additional passenger is currently listed in critical medical condition, and another passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner has identified the deceased child as a 10-year-old boy and the other deceased person as a 33-year-old man. 

The Atlanta Police Department's Accident Investigations Unit also arrived at the accident scene to determine the cause of the fatal crash. Their investigators reported that it appeared the driver was heading westbound along Campbellton Road and lost control of the vehicle. The accident unit also stated that the car rolled several times, which severely injured the passengers. The Atlanta Police stated that the driver of the car ran away from the accident scene. 

The names of the crash victims will not be released in this article and the Atlanta Police withheld the name of the child who was tragically killed in the single-vehicle crash. The is an active investigation ongoing to determine the cause of the wreck, and the news reporter will update their article once more information has been received. 

The Atlanta Police will continue their fatal hit-and-run accident investigation. The area around the crash was closed for hours as emergency crews, the Atlanta Police, and law enforcement investigators managed the crash and helped the injury victims. No criminal charges were reported at this time.
