Three People Seriously Injured in a Fiery Head-On Collision on Highway 115 West in White County, Georgia

November 19, 2022

GEORGIA - A car accident news story posted on nowhabersham.com reports that three people have been severely injured in a head-on collision on Highway 115 just west of Cleveland, Georgia.*

According to public safety officials, emergency medical services paramedics airlifted one of the victims from the accident scene due to the severity of their injuries. The Georgia State Patrol's initial report stated that a Ford F-150 was heading westbound along Highway 115. At the same time, an Isuzu wrecker truck was heading eastbound on Highway 115. For some unknown reason, the pickup truck driver did not maintain their traffic lane, crossed the median line, and collided with the wrecker truck head-on.

The accident report stated that three people were entrapped in the accident wreckage, and one of the motor vehicles caught fire. The White County Fire Department was dispatched to the head-on collision that transpired in the 2200 block of Highway 115 at around 4:15 in the afternoon.

White County Public Safety spokesperson Bryce Barrett stated that the White County Fire Department quickly put out the fire, and the blaze did not cause additional injuries. The White County Emergency Medical Services took two drivers to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia. One passenger was air evacuated from the accident scene to a local area hospital. The Georgia State Patrol did not release the identities of those involved in the head-on collision.

This tragic accident is currently being investigated, and criminal charges are pending, Georgia State Patrol spokesperson Franka Young stated. This is the second serious-injury accident to occur this week on Highway 115. Last Tuesday, there was a head-on collision that happened between two SUVs and a motorcycle. Three people were severely injured in that accident.

The accident story will be updated when more information is received. No additional details about this accident have been released at this time. Witnesses are urged to provide their information to the Georgia State Patrol.
