Dangerous Driver Doing Donuts Strike and Kills a Store Employee in Tucker, Georgia

TUCKER, GEORGIA - An accident news story published on fox5atlanta.com reports that Tucker Police stated that a "reckless" driver hit and killed a man while the driver was "doing donuts" in a shopping center parking lot in Tucker, Georgia.*

The fatal pedestrian collision occurred at a shopping center located on Lavista Road. According to the news report, the victim was a store employee located in the shopping plaza. He was attempting trying to stop the reckless driver before he drove his car into someone.  According to Tucker Police, the driver struck the store employee when he tried to flee the scene. Tucker Police also reported that the employee was transported to an area hospital but passed away from his injuries. The fatal hit-and-run accident occurred in a parking lot across from Hollywood Feed. 

An eyewitness stated that she was shocked and believed the employee was simply trying to keep customers and other shoppers safe. The witness stated that she knew the victim from shopping at their store and she described him as being a very friendly man. 

Fortunately, law enforcement officers located and arrested the suspect who was near the hit-and-run crash scene. The police officers have not named the suspect or provided any details about the criminal charges that are likely to be filed against the suspect.

A Hollywood Feed spokesperson stated that the company was heartbroken over the tragic death of one of their Hollywood Feed employee who sadly passed away due to injuries sustained. 

This pedestrian hit-and-run is currently under investigation by the DeKalb County Police. Hollywood Feed is helping law enforcement with their investigation. The name of the accident victim was not made public at this time. There is an active accident investigation ongoing updates will be provided by the news agency as additional information is received. 

The DeKalb County Police will continue the fatal pedestrian hit-and-run investigation. The area around the pedestrian hit-and-run accident was closed down as emergency crews, and law enforcement officers worked the accident and tended to the victim.
