Woman Struck and Tragically Killed by a Car at the Intersection of Ted Turner Drive and John Portman Boulevard in Atlanta

ATLANTA, GEORGIA - An accident news article published on reports that a woman was tragically killed after she was struck by a motor vehicle in Downtown Atlanta, Georgia.*

According to the Atlanta Police Department, crash investigators stated that the pedestrian collision occurred at around 6 AM. The crash happened at the intersection of John Portman Boulevard and Ted Turner Drive. When the Atlanta Police officers arrived at the scene of the crash, they discovered the victim, and she was pronounced deceased at the crash scene.

The Atlanta Police Department's preliminary pedestrian crash investigation stated that a car was stopped at the red light along John Portman Boulevard. The moment the traffic light turned green, the motorist tried to turn left onto Ted Turner Drive. As they proceeded, the victim was crossing on Ted Turner Drive from the crosswalk. Law enforcement authorities stated that the car struck the victim. The car's driver remained at stayed at the accident scene. The Atlanta Police Department's Accident Investigations Unit is currently investigating the events that led up to the fatal pedestrian collision.
