Tragic, Deadly Truck Accident Near Big Cedar Kills Three Children
GEORGIA - An auto accident news story published on poteaudailynews.com reports that three Georgia juveniles tragically lost their lives in a severe car accident south of Big Cedar in Oklahoma.*
According to the fatal traffic accident report issued by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Unit, a 37-year-old Tuscaloosa man was operating his Volvo truck along U.S. 259 a few miles south of Big Cedar. At approximately 9:30 AM, the truck and passenger vehicles crashed.
The truck driver was taken by helicopter to St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He suffered severe head and internal injuries and is listed in stable medical condition.
The other vehicle was transporting four passengers, and three of the four juvenile passengers tragically passed away. They were from Columbus, Georgia. The kids tragically passed away at the accident scene. A 31-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was also transported to St. Vincent Hospital. She sustained head and internal bodily injuries and is listed in stable medical condition. The vehicle that the accident victims were traveling in did not have airbags.
The names of the accident victims were not released to the public at this time. The accident investigation is ongoing.
