Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Accident in DeKalb County, Georgia
DEKALB COUNTY, GEORGIA - According to a news report published on fox5atlanta.com, the DeKalb County Police are investigating a severe hit-and-run motorcycle accident on North Hairston Road in DeKalb County, Georgia.*
The news story states that the injured motorcyclist was transported to a local area hospital for emergency medical treatment. The motorcycle operator appears to have survived the motorcycle accident but sustained severe accident-related injuries. The hit-and-run driver allegedly swerved into the victim's motorcycle along North Hairston Road. After he was hit, he was thrown off of his motorcycle. He sustained injuries to his right leg.
An eyewitness to the accident stated to police that the driver of the sedan slowed down after the collision but then fled the crash. An ambulance then transported the victim to a local area hospital, where he received treatment for his injuries. He needs a cane to walk around. The victim hopes law enforcement will catch the driver who is responsible or that the driver will turn themself into law enforcement.
The motorcycle accident victim stated that an eyewitness was able to provide law enforcement with a description of the hit-and-run vehicle.
