Tragic, Fatal Car Accident on I-85 in Franklin County, Georgia

GEORGIA - According to a news article published on nowhabersham.com, a Northwest Georgia man was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 85 North in Franklin County, Georgia.*

The accident report states that the man's SUV crashed into the cable barriers and then flipped over on Interstate 85. The Georgia State Patrol stated that the man was ejected from his SUV and was killed at the scene of the accident. The victim was a 19-year-old man from Hiram. The fatal rollover crash occurred about one mile south of the Lavonia exit.

Georgia State Patrol were called to the accident scene at approximately 6:47 in the morning. The Georgia State Patrol troopers from Post 52 in Hartwell arrived at the accident scene. The troopers stated that the victim was driving his red Ford Expedition north in the left traffic lane. Suddenly and for no known reason, the victim's Ford Expedition moved off of the west shoulder, into the median, and collided with a cable barrier. The Ford Expedition then traveled back into the northbound traffic lanes and began to flip over. The victim was then ejected from the SUV. He was tragically pronounced dead at the accident scene.

All northbound traffic lanes of Interstate 85 were shit down for about 1.5 hours to complete the crash investigation and remove to remove the accident road debris. The name of the accident victim was not made public at this time.
