Three People Injured in a Severe Multi-vehicle Crash in Rabun County, Georgia
RABUN COUNTY, GEORGIA - An accident news story published on nowhabersham.com reports that a four-vehicle crash in Rabun County has injured three people.*
The motor vehicle crash occurred during the long Labor Day Weekend. Two of the injured were taken to a local area hospital for medical treatment of accident-related injuries. According to the Georgia State Patrol Post 7 based in Toccoa, this multi-vehicle accident occurred at around 2:40 PM last Monday close to Mountain City.
Georgia State Patrol Troopers also stated that a 21-year-old man from Clayton was driving his Chevy Sonic along File Street. At some point, the driver attempted to make a left turn onto GA Highway 15 when his vehicle hit Hyundai Accent that was heading north. That motor vehicle was being driven by a 45-year-old woman from Decatur. The crash caused the Hyundai to collide with two other motor vehicles that were heading south on GA Highway 15. The crash injured the 45-year-old woman and her passenger, a 51-year-old man from Clarkston. The Rabun County EMS took the injured to Mountain Lakes Medical Center in Clayton, Georgia.
A 36-year-old driver of one of the southbound motor vehicles sustained serious injuries. According to the Georgia State Patrol Troopers, the EMS did not take him to a hospital. There were no additional injuries in the crash, including a family of five.
The crash occurred as motorists throughout the country were heading home after visiting another area during the long Labor Day weekend. The news report states that at least 13 people were tragically killed on Georgia's roadways during the 78-hour holiday. The Labor Day holiday officially ended at 11:59 PM on September 5, 2022. No additional information about the accident has been provided. No criminal charges have been reported at this time.
